New players are welcome. We teach the game, build teams by grade and skill level, and place players in games with athletes of similar age and experience whenever possible.

TOURNAMENT
Start the season with a fun individual draft tournament. Players register on their own or with up to three friends, then get drafted onto balanced teams for a night of games, coaching, and fun.

FAQ
How does the season work? Each week, athletes practice with their team and coaches. Then every Wednesday, all ZZU club teams come together for game nights.
Do 3rd graders play with older grades? Athletes are placed into divisions based on grade, experience, and skill level. Our goal is to create fun, competitive, and safe matchups for everyone.
Are jerseys required? We do require jerseys! We use the same jersey each season. We do have bonus extra jerseys you can buy if you'd like.
What Equipment do I need? Cleats are required. Soccer, lacrosse, or football cleats all work. We also have donated cleats available, and there’s a chance we may have your athlete’s size. A disc is optional and available for purchase for $15.
What about coaches? ZZU has an awesome group of coaches and parent coaches who teach the game, run practices, and help athletes grow throughout the season. No matter your athlete’s experience level, our coaches are ready to help them learn and have fun.

Who Are We?
EPIC Ultimate Frisbee Club, is a branch of Zig Zag Ultimate. Zig Zag Ultimate was started in 2012 and now has 550+ youth playing every year with teams all around West Michigan. ZZU offers leagues for: 3rd-8th Grade, High School, Adult, College Teams, and more!

Who Can Play?
Anyone, boys and girls! We expect most to have never played before - maybe not even know the rules. Or how to throw a disc. As you keep coming you learn the game and how to throw. We work so hard to be welcoming and inclusive.
Who Will We Play?
We compete in the Zig Zag Ultimate League, established in 2012 — now with 45+ teams and nearly 500 players from all across the greater Grand Rapids area, including Rockford, Lowell, Grand Rapids, Hudsonville, Caledonia, and more.
